Blown Engine
I wonder if he ment that he intended to drive 60 miles to autozone and only made it 10 feet out of his driveway.
I agree with no engine oil it wouldn't make it far.
Though I once drove a 2 1/2 ton M35 Army truck about 1/4 mile with no oil, before in stalled. Bastards had drained the oil to change it and didn't refill it, they didn't tell me and I had to move the truck the next day. Anyway, after adding 5 gallons of oil it ran fine. Love a deisel that is well broken in.
I also once drove 300 miles with no oil pressure after my oil pump froze up; twisted the pump drive shaft like licorice. It was a Ford 302 with over 100,000 miles on it. I was 400 miles into a 700 mile return trip from an unathourized trip home and had to get back to Basic NonCommitioned Officer Course (BNCOC). I through an extra quart in and kept it under 45 the rest of the way. Of course I spent all my free time the next few weeks at the Auto Crafts Shop replacing the engine. Thankfully the course was 5 months long so I had pleanty of time.
