That sucks man.
What gears are you running in the rear and what kind of driving do you do?

I have a 3.08 and with mix driving I get a consistent 15mpg (320miles on 21 gallons)

Hey Rocketman...my brother just bought the Audi S4...That is a bad little car. He was looking at the A4s and then decided on the twin turbo S4,,,but that little thing is quite the sleeper...Makes many of the Mustang and camaro guys wake up a little. I have seen them with a LITTLE work beat up on vettes and just tear Evo and WRX's apart.

You are right

The S and RS Audi's are about as strong and classy as they come. Wife's little A4 is only the 1.8T (turbo 4 banger) and is strong and a real kick to drive. My first one was the A6 2.7T (twin turbo V6), chipped, and it pasted ya back in the seat with only 250hp (more with the chip turned on). The A6 4.2 (300hp V8) was as fast as the 2.7T. All were sport pack Quattros with OZ Opera wheels. I have 5 miles of dirt to get to pavement now so an F150 was needed.

I envy your brother.

It's got the 3.73 gears, trailer package, and 7200 GVWR. I usually carry 300 of sand in the winter also but don't have enough data to compare to "no sand".

I guess this is the proper way to reply to a post huh?

I am going to lean on the fact that you most likely have crappy winter gas and a colder climate. 3.73s are way better than 3.08 for around town. I would suggest an ignition tune up at this point (COPs and plugs (motorcraft only!!!!!))
A tuner, even canned may help. I have canned tunes and they are way better than stock. You can go custom, but that would be on your dollar. A lot of guys here are stoked about custom tunes.
