Tell you what, I'll give you my vin number and you hash it out and if you can get it you can post every bit of personal info you can find on me right here on this page and if we have any cold blooded killers they'll know where to find me. Trust me, the vin is worthless in that matter at this point. 5 years ago, yea it was a bad idea. Nowadays, not a big dealio at all. I mean, take for instance that guy that runs that company with the commercials that posts his SS# on the side of a truck and drives it around town that guarantees your identity can't be stolen when using his product. (i find that a bit extreme but a good example) And I ain't tryin to be a **** either, its just that vin info is freely posted almost everywhere (like dealer ads, ebay requires it for selling on their site) Its kewl though, if it makes you feel more secure

Word.

I guess that takes the heat off license plates now.

I got VINs off two Camaros and two Mustangs tonight. Previous owners, I come for you in the night!

You can walk through any parking lot and write down everyones VIN number.
It gets you nothing.

Hahaha. You kids are just too merch.

(That was slang for "too much").

And it's good to know about the skid plates. My dad used to have a 2000 F250 Turbo Diesel, fully decked out (most comfortable seats I've ever sat in, by the way), and had the Off-Road package and never noticed the skid plates. Of course, the most off-roading I ever did in that thing was hitting those speed humps in my neighborhood at 45 or 50mph and just kinda launching over them... . Dangerous? I suppose. But it was high school and I was invincible, just like everyone else in high school, right?

What size is the trans cooler ? Well , I'm not sure about the 01 , but the off road/tow package use to include a good size cooler up front.

According to your VIN the decals say "OFF ROAD 4x4" and are Wedgewood Blue. Ford part number 1L3Z-8425622-AAK and it has the towing package. Factory installed class III hitch...... any other VIN questions let me know.

The VIN is otherwise worthless and easily taken off any car in any parking lot at anytime. Convienently located right there in the corner of the winshield for anyone to see.
idk about that when i locked my keys in my truck across the street from a dealer i went in there and they cut my a key. all i had to do was write down the vin off the windshield
