Brakekleen by CRC works fine, they make MAF cleaner, but it is over priced, "watered down" brakekleen. Just hold it so none of the cleaner gets up into the sensor electronics

Nooooo! Not Brakekleen! Use Electrical contact cleaner. Any of the auto parts chains carry it. $2-$3 per can.

And why not brakekleen. See TONS of cars done with CRC Brakekleen and never a problem.

Buddy of mine used Brakekleen and it must have gotten into those sensors Josh just posted about. He had to replace the MAF because the truck was running like it was choking!

Must of, because Ford lists brake cleaner as a useable cleaner.

Sorry, I was quick to comment on this. Personally I've never used Brakekleen only electrical contact cleaner since I got my first truck (Ranger) in 1992. It was around this time my buddy cleaned his with Brakekleen and developed some problems. Since then I wouldn't even consider it. If you guys have been using it with no problems keep on doing it. My buddy wasn't the brightest bulb to begin with. Sorry if I offended or worried anyone.

For those MAFs that people don't take care of - Use B-12, what ever you have on hand to cut thru the sh^t. THEN, grab mama's window cleaner - Because regardless of what certain people may think ; everything leaves a residue no matter what the can says - Windex just leaves less of one ...
