Gas Mileage
I avg 17 in mine 05 screw 4x4 5.4. Best ever was 22 mpg with a 15 mph tail wind going 70 all hwy. worst ever was 13 in 4x4 almost the whole tank. I drive 65% hwy and 35% city. usually keep her below 2k rpms....
im not doing much better...
i have a 01 V6 w/ 111,600 miles on it. i usually average about 17-18 on the highway, driving 300+ miles at about 75 mph. in the city i average anywhere from 13.5-16, depending on how heavy footed i get. however, this past weekend, i only used alittle more than half a 25 gal tank to drive the 300+ miles. Im Exstatic!!!

[QUOTE=BottlefedLX]I was wondering what kind of gas mileage do you guys with the 5.4 get, and what can be done to improve mileage. I have been lurking here for awhile, and just joined. I have read about different tunes, but have not seen any actual numbers. Thanks in advance.[/QUOTEI
I'm avg 18-19 in the city. I have added cold air intake, tonneau cover, and dual exhaust with a full flow muffler (flowmaster) . I filled up a few days ago, I always hit trip to get an avg of fuel consumption I have half tank and have driven 297.3 mile (mostly city driving).

'99 5.4L with intake and exhaust.
With the stock 3.55 gears and tires (235/75R16) I got 14 city / 17 highway in the summer. This winter with 285/75R16's I got a best of 13. Last week I got 14. I just cleaned my MAF sensor and replaced my DPFE sensor... With these warmer temps and non-winter gas I'm hoping to be in the 15's.
And I run ethanol mixed gas, BTW.
