SCrew Oilfilter Adaptor

Ford says my 2001 SCrew has a leaking gasket at the "Oilfilter Adaptor"
They want $50 for a new gasket and $450 (that's right four hundred and fifty dollars) labor!
Does anyone have pictures of this thing or any idea why the flat-rate manual says it takes 4.5 hours!

I have seen the one on my dads old truck and that thing is nothing more than a glorified remote oil filter. I can't quote on the price of the gasket but that does seem rediculous. As for the labor, I can't see no reason why any good do-it-yourself-er couldn't tackle that job with ease. The labor rate you were quoted was by someone smoking crack, IMO.
