Thank you both for your help. I will update once we look at it tomorrow. Hopefully we find the problem.

A bad FPDM wouldn't keep it from cranking. It does act like a bad connection somewhere.

Ok so update. We took the fpdm off not corroded but a bunch of dirt came out. Put it back on the truck starts but running rough now. Turned it off then put the key in the wrench light did not come back on. Let the truck sit for about 20-30 minutes go back truck will not start. Will find one tomorrow and replace. Would it be normal to start randomly if it is going bad or could it be something else like a bad connection somewhere else?

Just to be safe I'd replace it but I would also use some electrical connection cleaner on it while you have it off. I'm curious that it started now

I've had connectivity issues that were like that. one minute it starts the next nothing. I dont think the FPDM is the cause of the no crank. once you messed with it it could be that it is now an issue with the rough idle. If you order the FPDM from Rock Auto its only about 60 bucks. I would replace it because they are known to fail. In the meantime I'd find the bad connection. Its there.. Just gotta find it..
