HI!... If you plan on a built 5.4, then go with the NVH block. All of the new blocks are NVH or look for a 04 to current used block they are all NVH. It's got added material in all the right places to make it stronger for built applications.

Neal,
I'm curious about differences in blocks. The way I understand so far is 2004 and up are all the NVH blocks. So whats the difference between a NVH and an SVT block? There are two listed here, are they basically the same other than the water pump and outlet?

There is a :
New 5.4 Cast Iron Blocks
with main caps
2002/04 NVH version

and then there is a:
New 5.4 SVT Cast Iron Blocks
with main caps
2007 NVH version

I was looking at buying one out of a reg 2007 F150 and rebuilding it, will that one work on my 2002?

Get yourself a NVH 5.4 block. They are stronger and have more webbing where it is needed. I believe all 5.4 blocks come NVH 2003 and above. I could be wrong.

I know NVH is the correct one, but whats the SVT version for 2007 and 2008? Is there a regular 2007 NVH that fits regular 5.4's and an SVT version that fits the rest?

The SVT blocks do not have the heater core outlet in behind the water pump. You have to use the SVT water pump with this outlet in the pump.
