Do-it-yourself Spark Plug Remover
I used Matt Adams' tutorial on spark plug removal and it was great. Unfortunately, the spark plug socket I had either never came with the grommet inside or I lost it. I knew there was no way to get those plugs out with great heartache and cussing,(or going to the store to buy another one!) It sucks when you have part of the engine disassembled and you find out you have to go to the parts store. I looked around and found a weatherboot that is used to cover RG-59 and RG-6 connectors on a CATV line. (Cable Tv). Ive got tons of them from doing that line of work. I cut most of it off except the ribbed portion of the boot and stuffed it into the socket with the small hole showing in the socket. It worked like a charm!!! The only thing that you have to remember is that you should not use it to insert the new plugs because it will stick to the plug and you will play hell getting it off the plug. Second, when youre removing the old plugs, unbolt them first and then re-insert the socket with the weatherboot in it to fish the now loosened plug out. Ive attached some pics.

Changing the plugs
I plan to do this soon, but can only do it in the parking lot of the dorms, what all has to be removed to change the plugs? Any special/home made tools? Please gimme the run down... ty
