When? Light throttle, heavy throttle, cruise? Any recent mods? When was your last tune up?

Update your coils(it's time).. It's only $75 now for a set of 8. For almost 2 years people on this site have had good luck w/Kevins (link)and make sure you have Motorcraft plugs in their. You will most likely go another 100,000 before this happens again

Here yuh go - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-I...mZ160211204789

If you need plugs , there usually cheaper locally. But, if you want to order Motorcrafts On line , the cheapest I seen was @ Rock Auto.

It's possible, do you have access to a scan tool or code reader? I know the light isn't on, but it could be stored in memory. You will have to find out which cylinder is misfiring.

You can take it to them and see, they usually don't charge to pull codes. The coils are not hard, just one bolt and a connector, the main problem is working in the tight spots. When you reinstall don't forget to put di-electric grease inside the boots, where the plug goes in.
