I have a 2005 F150 xlt supercab 5.4 3v engine.I need to know can you have bad codes and your check engine light not come on,because sometimes when I really get on it it well not come up to the 5500 rpms before it changes to second gear,and when it does its really slow to get uo tp speed and it cuts out.I do not drive like this alot but could this be the injector problem the 05 is suppose to have.thanks for any help.I have 38000 miles on it. Oh by the way it runs fine at normal speed just doed like to be driven fast.

 

Any problem that effects emissions will set a code and turn on the SES light. if it is not emissions related it won't.
