No need to remove the head.

You can purchase the kit from "time sert" - I posted the link for you above.

There's also a couple people on this site that have this kit. On guy used the kit and fixed his truck with it. He is selling the remainder of the kit, which is more than enough to do just one.

You can look in this sites classified section or search the engines section for all the info you need to successfully take care of this problem.

Just search, but search here in the "Engines" forum. Use "quotes" when you search for the best results. - Tons of info on this ..Good luck

I doubt it - stick with the kit serts to avoid issues. If your buddy has a kit , then he has the serts . I think the kit comes with 12 inserts.

Personally , if I had to pull the head - I would just pull the engine - That's easier/safer for me.

Realistically , why do any of that if you don't have to?

I dunno the answer to your insert question, but I would prolly look on the Time sert site for the correct type of sert and go from there. You may be able to find them that way.

alright here is the update guys.. we got my truck towed to my friends shop for free through my insurance.. went to O'Riellys and got all new spark plugs, new coil pack, lock tite, rvt stuff came up to like $70 or so.. finally started taking all the stuff apart at about 4:30pm. got everything ready with the head still on the truck and started the nerve racking task of tapping the new cylinder..this took about 2 hours, cause every turn we pulled the tapper out and cleaned the metal off.. the coil went in smooth along with the plug..replaced all the plugs put everything back together and it ran great ..then we said f*ck yea and did a big burnout and taped it hopefully have it on here later..also took pics of all the stuff we did and the plug that blew out which was obviously destroyed..also pics of the 7 other plugs, just to show what about 35-40 10pound bottles of nitrous do to plugs on a good dyno tune.. just to say they looked pretty damn good..thats it for now try to post pics later...
