i have a 2001 crew cab 4.6. lately i have noticed that under heavy acceleration the truck hesitates alot, like it barely accelerates, its really bad if i put the pedal to the floor, im guessing the throttle position sensor is shot maybe, anybody got some ideas?

 

how long since changing the fuel filter?

 

Thats what was wring with mine and need to check the cats see if they are clear.

 

yea i have had the truck a year and a half, never done the fuel filter, makes sense that it could be that, ill give er a try.
