2005 F-150 codes...what do you think???

perfably i would like some help from any of you deler guys. here it is. 5.4L 4x4 70,000 mi. i have a misfire #8, and lean bank 2 codes. what do you think is wrong?
i thought it was giving the lean code cause of the misfire. idk. but bank 2 is the pass. side...right?? and #8 is back driver side. idk. so i swaped #8 coil to #4 to c if it was the coil. still #8 misfire....so now im thinking it could be an injector problem, because of the lean code...idk am i in the right direction??? could it be something else??
ps fuel filter was replaced less than 5,000 mi ago

just looking for other things that i could me missing. i was gona just change all the plugs and see what happend. so i went and bought them($120 latter) i tried to take them out....n said **** that....i read a TSB that they break off in the head due to lack of anti-seaze. under ford's protacall every 30,000 mi you are suposeto take them out and anti-seaze them....tried to take them out with the motor hot(figureing that that might loosen them up) and they didnt wana move....and i wasent forceing. so i said lets elmanate anything else it could be. if need be after all is said and done, and that is what it needs (plugs) then ill take it to ford, let it be their problem.

also too it is not like a dead miss. only in like 3-4th gear when its at WOT it brakes up and spits and pops, backfires...etc... its like its loading up with fuel and doesent wana burn. then it will have a dead miss for like 1min and the SES light will blink....when it stops blinking the truck is fine agin.

ok so i was gona change the plugs.....i tried...they were very stickey so i said **** that. maby hopfly its somthing else. cauz i did not wana brake one off. so in having all of the coils off i took the #8 assambly and put it to number 4 to c if it waz the coil. abt 3 days latter code came back, so i looked ....same as before #8 and lean b2.

now keep in mind that i dont have a $12,000 snap-on modes that i can graph O2,s check fuel trims or any of that. so how do i figure this out with out it.
next Q would this be under ford warenty? sorry if i am up setting some of u right now....but i dident wana pay my ductible for some $50-60 part that i could have done?

this was all from another forem that i posted on. thanks F-150 guys

Bank 2 is the drivers side. Always fix the misfire first and reboot. Chances are ,that will have taken care of your lean codes as well.

You might wanna fork out the deductible on a 05. If it's not to bad. They had injector problems in the past and I think the dealerships have some sort of upgrade for that model year.

Look up "2005 injector problems" - Use quotes, search in the engines section AND in the 2004 + forum on this site.

Good Luck

There is a warranty on the injectors in the 05 5.4 engine. They are Known to fail and cause major damage. If you do have an injector problem they are cover for 110k miles and 10 years.

Well, you could swap the injector to narrow it down further.

So, your running on your factory set of plugs right ? Your @ 70,000 miles as well.

Injector + plug issues in that model. I have to say, I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.

Common people - Help this guy out. What's the best way to handle this.

Would he want to follow the latest TSB. Don't you have to back the plugs out just a little before you throw PB Blaster or Break Away in the chambers?

Are your chances of success better, if the heads are warm prior to loosening the plugs?

Hell , I don't know anymore..

The plugs and injectors and coil packs are covered under a 8year 80kmile warranty for emissions... Just wanted you aware of this.
