Steps in changing a Fuel Injector

Hey guys I just searched around looking for a good cheat sheet on how to change injectors, Do's and Dont's etc. I found a few post but all lead to arguments. Can I get a quick link or some good info on the steps I need to take.

Thanks.

k

I might have to because I just read the last 15 post were people were asking for help and recieved none, Just bull**** from people that have been logged on since the site was established. Just waiting to bust on someone.

- Heres a little suggestion. When someone asks for help and you dont know the friggin answer dont respond to the question because You just clogg the post. With nothing but crap. I swear this site is just a bunch of real lonley guys that have no means of getting women. Just to stay on here and input there friggin dum jokes.

-Lets all friggin grow up and start inputting valuable information when some one asks. Isnt there a misc post forum or maybe even a hey im really bored what can i say to **** people off forum. Go there if you dont have the knowledge of answering the asked question.

-Ive stated so many times clearly that I have a 2004 5.4L 3v with problems, Told my situation plain as day and have not got one single useable idea to fix it. And I thought it was F150 Online And I thought this was the engine post page.

-So you guys that have nothing to do but wait for new posts to make fun of, go start one in a different post page.

-Man were is the representative that runs this forum. This must be the worse forum for getting an honest answer on a problem question.

-I dont care what post it is there isnt one on here were anyone got a couple of honest answers too there problem.

GROW THE **** UP!!!!!

A few important things about the 3V fuel rail. There is no schrader valve. To safely remove the rail you need to relieve the pressure. The proper procedure to do so is to disconnect a connector and run the engine till it dies. Then crank for 5 seconds. The unfortunate thing about this is that it will set codes. You need a scan tool to erase the codes. You seem to be unlucky with scanners..... What I would do is to place rags along the injectors to soak up the fuel then remove the 4 bolts, 2 per side, holding the rail in place. Then carefully pull up on the rail to release the pressure. Then lift the rail out. The injectors may or may not come out with the rail. On reinstall the trick its to lightly lube the O rings with clean engine oil and push them into the injector hole in the manifold. Then align them with the fuel rail and press the rail on to the injectors. Install the bolts remove the rags and you are done.

PS. I still think you should buy a Dodge
