Stock in a 5.4, from '97 on, is 195.
You guys reading about these cooler thermostats in a blown motor, just stay away. Tuning a blown motor is a different ball game so don't read that and start thinking... "well if it's good enough for that motor, it should work good in mine!!" Not so!! Personally, and I don't mean to be a jerk, but you supercharger guys shouldn't even be on here saying that. It's completely irrelevant what you use to a normally aspirated guy.
Here's another thing...just because you throw in a 160 thermostat doesn't mean it's gonna run that cool anyways. I guarantee you if you're still running the stock single core radiator, your cooling system has neither the capasity nor the capability to run your truck that cool in summer anyways. It's still gonna run warmer. But then in the winter when it gets cold and your cooling system become more efficient, it will run cooler and that's where the problems (decreased fuel mileage/performace) will creep up.

I ran a colder thermostat on my 2001 prior to adding the supercahrger but I also live in Texas and it helped out in the summer time
