We have 4 wire sensors , 2 whites (heaters in the front) 1 grey, 1 black.

These have a dedicated case ground to the PCM. On the atmospheric side of the sensor an air intake opening provides the sample of atmosphere, which the sensor compares with exhaust gas from the Exhaust Gas Intake slots. This provides the reference voltage for the PCM.

I had to pull them - I had random and multiple misfire codes and barely made it home from work..

Really? That sucks

Ran Autolight DPs in my last truck for about 40k miles w/o a glitch. Seen multiple 5.4/4.6 trucks running around with the ALs with no problems too

I wrote Honeywell who makes both Autolite and Motorcraft Plugs after I had the problem.

Basically told me we make a Ford specific plug , there called Motorcraft.

These plugs are speced by Ford and built by us. The Autolite is NOT a Ford spec plug.

They rejected my refund request.

Honeywell also makes Fram filters and Prestone products. They make stuff ranging from the best on the market to total crap.

At the moment I have NGK TR6 plugs. I have a set of Autolite AR94 plugs that will go in this summer. They are 2 steps colder and are side gapped. I hope the Autolite racing plugs arr better than the ordinary ones.

Have you heard much about ford racing's wire sets? I got a set to run behind my accel coilpacks, but i havn't heard about them anywhere. I have had problems in the past with the plug boot not staying on the plug and cuasing a miss fire. So instead of getting msd or accel plug wires i stayed with ford.
