Ahh so it didnt work before... Yep bad Ac You can get them used that how I fixed my kids ac last year.. Did it not make a lot of noise before it failed? We cant see the truck from our keyboards the more informatio you give us the better..

Sorry I wasn't clear, original serpentine belt snapped. So had the truck towed to my house.

I tried to rotate ac compressor, won't rotate. I checked behind the compressor, there seems to be a lip/tounge of metal gasket coming from the inside that's sticking out, wedged where the pulley turns. I'm almost positive this is what's causing all pulleys from rotating with the belt. This might also be the reason my belt snapped.

I have to now research on compressors.

Sorry guys I thought I mentioned the belt snapped to begin with, reason I'm replacing. I do appreciate all your input. It did make a weird noise and about 15 sec later the belt snapped.

Weird noises, especially far from home are never a good thing!!!

Glad you have it pinpointed to your trouble maker. Not too hard of a fix.
