You know, I know there are hundreds of thousands of these beast out there, and I know we will never know the number of failures like this, but darn, Ford what kind of new ideas are you coming out with? Building engines has been out for over a hundred years. Putting plugs in that are not welded together and made completely different from the norm is crazy. Instead of looking at not only how to remove them maybe they should look at how to eliminate future failures. Bad injectors, yea that can happen, but then to recognize it and do nothing more than to wait for the failures to roll in is also rediculous. There should be a recall,if it is only one year, than so be it. And I wondered why for forty years I bought foriegn cars? I buy my first Ford and I get this garbage. I have been wrenching on cars ever since I was 10 years old, but as I get older I looked for a product that would give me some peace of mind when I drove it, This is not what I expected. I am here to learn from folks that share my vehicle, and share any expertize i have, but when I read of what happens to so many of these poor folks with the 5.4 engine I feel for them, because I know they are hard working people trying to raise and family and this kind of thing can be hard on them financially and mentally when dealing with a Company that says there vehicle is Ford Tough, I think they meant tough to deal with, and how they make it miserable to get your vehicle fixed, let alone so tough that they cant even put a simple spark plug in their engines. Every manufacturor has problems, but this one is a major issue. Just like their silly brake switch mounted on the brake fluid resevoir catching fire and burning peoples homes down. I am here because I want to learn tips on servicing this beast, and I am stuck with it because I owe more than I can sell it for. Darn nice truck when It runs, but sure doesnt make you warm and fuzzy when it dies prematurely at under 20k miles or even 38k miles. I believe the worst of some of the manufactors dont die with such disasters like that.
