F 150 engine start problems

I have a 2003 F 150 4.6 Trinton that will not start on 1st try after filling up the gas tank. After the 1st try and wait for 1 - 2 minutes the vehicle will start and run as normal and will continue to start with no issues. However the next time I fill up the gas tank then again the problem arises again. Local Ford dealer is a touch lost as am I . Please help if possible.

Try pulling the hose when it shuts off, do not top it off. You could be filling up the vapor separator and causing a "flooded" condition.

Same problem with 2007 F150

I have been having the same problem with my 2007. I took it to the dealership and they said it was a code problem and they fixed it. When I filled it up with gas a few days later it did it again. I took it back to the dealership today and now they say it is a part within the fuel pump that they are going to have to fix. They are ordering the part. It is supposed to take 3-4 days to arrive and then it will be installed. I am really hoping this fixes the problem because it is brand new. Any other ideas... The dealership said that the Ford hotline told them it could be overfilling of gas but not as likely as a problem with the fuel pump. I will keep you updated on whether it works or not. I hope this will help you get yours fixed as well.
