engine problems

The other day i replaced my EGR valve and ran the truck for a few days then the truck sat for about a day and i went to start it and it wouldnt start

it would crank but it just seemed like it wasnt getting enough fuel, it started today after about 3 days of sitting. i have a 2003f150 fx4 with around 56000miles

i was told the fuel pump shouldnt be the problem with such little miles. does anyone have any suggestions why this could be happening

Why did you replace your EGR valve to begin with? Who told you about the fuel pump?

i had to replace the EGR because it was causing my check engine light to come on and a car shop told me that a fuel pump shouldnt go out that soon

Strange the EGR valve should go that early too. Did the shop give you any idea what it could be? Oh did you clear the code or did it go away with the valve replacement?

Take the battery out of the system to make sure the code is gone not just hiding. Did you have the vehicle checked after the check engine light went out?
