Hey, I have a 2004 f150 4.6L. My governor kicks on a 100 m.p.h. (I'm not gonna say how i figured that out) Is there anyway to remove this besides using a superchip? Or is the superchip the only way to go?

You'll need to install a president. They kick in at 120mph.

I put a mayor in mine. I have no need to exceed 80mph.

I can only imagine where a sherriff would kick in.

 

Skip the Superchips and either go with custom tuning or an Edge Evolution. And shrink your sig...

sometime programmers wont take care of it i have a edge and set mine at 135 and it still wont go past 100
i think there is another governor on the truck itself u have to take off

 

You sure you set it right? I know for a fact that the Edge *will* take off the limiter...
