I still have two '76 bimmers that are quite modified for autox/time trials but I haven't kept up with suppliers. There are many bmw suppliers on line, but its doubtful that a supplier would have them in stock, but someone should be able to order them, even a engine machine shop. Try googling up some suppliers like bimmerparts, vertex, metric mechanic, bimmerspecialist, and korman.
There are also several piston mfrs like JE, arias,wiseco, cp, that made pistons for bmw race/competition engines. The original pistons were probably made by Mahle or k&s. Good luck!
