E-FAN Report
24mpg
Thanks Scott,
I'm not trying to misrepresent anything here because I would gain nothing by it. I owned a 2002 Silverado 5.3 before my Ford and I once got 21 mpg on a trip from So. Cal. to So. Colo. Normally that truck would get 17-18 on the highway and it was bone stock. All I know is when I got to where I was going I put in 18 gals. and when I got home I put in 17 gals. Nobody else drove the truck and nobody else put gas in it. Maybe it was a miracle that will never happen again. Only time will tell.

My Crown Vic gets 25-28 mpg on a highway trip, I have seen plenty other 4.6 vehicles do the same. dooly noted the Vic P71 only gets 9-14mpg around town though.
I am glad to see somebody get 24, it is exciting to hear. LLogic would lead me to believe that using the cruise cont. would help, seeing how the throttle opening is operating on it's own, makes sense... but on my truck I notice it wants to downshift on grades where it would not if I was footing it.
I think e-fans will be my first mod next year.
