Code questions

I am getting a EVAP large leak code any ideas on where to look? I just had the tranny and t-case rebuilt. Also a code for low EGR flow I assume this is the tube from the exhaust plugged up? Gas mileage stinks will either of these help it?

Thanks everyone!

Mike

Smile Help please

OK I called the local Ford tech dept. and the can't tell me anything other that to bring the truck to them and pay them 70 bucks to tell me what is wrong with my truck. FRUSTRATING! Any ideas on where to look for the Code P0455 large evap leak. I am experiencing stumbling under acceleration it is not showing a code for a missfire so I assume I am looking foe a vacumm leak. I have looked at every vac line under the hood and can't find anything.

Step 1. Verify the gas cap is installed correctly and is free of damage or leaks. Replace it if in doubt.

2. Take it to a shop and have it smoke tested to see where it's leaking in the evaporative emissions system.

3. See any of the previous many P0401 codes threads for how to fix.

Why don't you use the search bar ? This has been covered over and over again..

Well , just try that next time first , you'll get more info than you know what to do with..

P0455-

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sho...=311972&page=3

P0401 -

DPFE sensor fault is the most common problem. Dirty EGR ports , DPFE hose may leak or is disconnected.. - Lots of info , search it out

Talking Thanks Guys!

I don't mind them being grouchy if I ask stupid questions ... live and learn! I have not had time to do much with this yet sure hope it helps my mileage when I find it getting about 11.5 to the gallon! NOT GOOD!

Thanks,
Mike
