sticky throttle f150 2001

i have a 2001 F-150 crew cab 5.8L. it has a sticky throttle only in the idle position. so when i go to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle will jack rabbit. ive lubed the throttle mechanism & springs. the cable moves unrestricted. however, when i grab the throttle bracket to move it, it seems to stick to the threaded adjustable stop. almost like it is magnetic. ive cleaned & lubed it well. it made no difference. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks pb

I had the same problem with my old ranger, it had more than 400,000km's on it. On that truck it was the build up of oil and residue between the throttle plate and the throttle body, just enough to make it stick at just off idle, and some times would idle back down properly.

Have you cleaned the inside of the throttle body? You can do this just by taking off the intake and using throtle body cleaner on it. It has lubricants in it for the moving parts on the inside. Or you can take it apart and clean it good.....http://www.fordf150.net/howto/throttlebodyclean.php
