need help with water pump

im changing the water pump on my f150 v6 and I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, Ive taken the radiator out (not sure if i even needed to) and taken the bolts off the fan but the fan is still on. can someone tell me what else I need to do before my motor falls to the ground. I see a large bolt right behind the fan but i have nothing to take it off with, any ideas what size it could be.
thanks

im pretty sure it has a clutch fan you get a wrench on the water pump bolt and then a larger aj. wrech on the fan shaft and the fan shaft is normal threads *big wrench goes left* when i had to do because mine was on there is i got a long punch and a hammer and hit it left and it un threded. if you have an AIR hammer itd work but try the wrench things frist *didnt work for me*

Call your pal who knows how to fix cars, Buy lots of beer and let him do it! just kidding. Do you have the Haynes/Chiltons book? you need to have one of those before you even start. Sometimes you need to yank the fan off. They can get kinda seized on there..

thanks guys for your help, I had taken the fan bolts out and the round thing right behind it. After I got something to eat and dropping this line I went back out for more, I took the whole unit off (water pump, fan, and what ever else attached) and took it to advance autos to let them take it off. After a 15-20 minute conversation with them (at least 3 people tried to take the fan off) they rented me some wrenches. So I had to come back home put the fan bolts and the other things bolts back in and then I was able to take them apart. After taking it apart and putting it back together and then back apart, I got the new water pump on and called it a night. Now I can't remember how the belt wrapped around everything so that will be my first challenge in the morning.

But again guys thanks and I think now it's beer thirty.

Steve would have that - Search for the Bronco web site ..Hang on I'll find the link..

http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/index.php

I think I can do better , just a minute - Nope best I can do , but I know there's a drawing on that site , user Steve83 has one.

If you go to motocraft . com you can download a manual. Or if you join ALLData , you can get a service manual. Or just buy a book from any 3rd party auto supplier for that info . Haynes or Chiltons books are usually on the rack at the auto part suppliers - $19 for a service guide . $10 for a CD off ebay..
