19lb vs 24lb injectors

are the 24s really a good benifit when paired with a larger fuel pump and tune vs a set of new type 3 19lbers with a tune? im gettin new ones off ebay either way just curious which route. id rather get 19s so i could get them and put them on right away but if there is a nice increase with 24s id wait. reason is that im gettin god awful fuel mileage and wanna replace some worn parts (124,000k) and might get new coil packs too. just lookin for some good opinoins, thanks,
Scott

Hey Scott, you don't need 24's, waste of money.

All 5.4L's are COP'ed.. Coil pacs are on those slower V8's.

Just get the 19#ers.
No increase out of the 24s!
The power will come from the tune.

Hey jbrew...my COPs from Global do not look like that. No label on top at all much less a Motorcraft sticker. They're just completely plain on top. That's why the mechanic at the dealership commented on them that day???

The COP's and Injectors came from a crown vic crate motor - Those are same as Global COP's except for the baked on paint and sticker. The Globals I'm running now are clear on top..

Yea Faster they are on my second truck. I wasn't going to let them go with my '98 when I sold it. Might have 5k on them since I got them from you

i did the swap from 19#ers to 24#ers and I prefer the 24#ers (still using the stock fuel pump) the 24#er give more part throttle torque in the lower RPM's. I had some tune troubles at first but now that it's dialed in my truck drives a whole lot better and it tows way better than it did before

but the type 3 19#ers will work best and you won't need a tune to make them run
