my old man has a 06 f150 5.4, sometimes it starts runs for 20secs then dies... then spins over for awhile and starts up and runs fine? any ideas? it's been in acouple of times for this but they can't figure it out, it isn't throwing any codes? and it doesn't matter if it's cold or warm.

 

There is a sensor that controlls the idle. The IAC. I'm guessing it may be bad. I'm sure some others will chime in before too long, who, are more experienced with the newer models.

The 06 needs a TB replacement IMO. From what I've read in the past.
