I for one like traction! IMO, that is the whole point of a truck, well, unless you plan on making a street rod out of it. But, I still like my tires! LOL

Maybee the elevation up there in Utah? Beutifull state! I only seen parts of it while i was driving cross country, from Washington state. Some pretty high passes up there as my 4.6 liter recalls! Try gettin the rpms up there above 2000, then slowly lettin off the brakes. when the rears let loose, punch the gas!!

RPMs up higher? I redline at 3250... And my 4.6 with drums could do it stock also no problem.
Here's how I do it. Push the brake pedal to the floor. Then push the gas to the floor slowly. Then slowly let off the brake.

Why cant I Spin my tires? They wont even break loose if I powerbrake it Is this because the supercrews weigh more, or the limited slip and 4 wheel disk, ABS brakes? Kind of a dumb post but I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this...you would think with 300+ lbs. of tq you could break the tires loose!!!
Mine here is basically stock with just my intake and magnaflow cat back

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...bc0122a3b2.htm

also put it in 1st and not drive to make sure you get the down shift and not in 2nd or 3rd.

Put your foot right into the brake, then your right foot right to the floor of the gas pedal, slowly let off the break, if you start spinning your tires at all you should be able to make them break loose by slowly applying the break more. if you are going for a hard burn like me and want to bun at 5k rpm, slowly let out the break to allow more power, you should be able to see me to these steps in the video.

It is mostly technique. Hit the gas hard, THEN brake quick and then gas it and hit the brake. This WILL lite em up. Puts mometum on the drive wheels and put pressureon front axle initally (when braking). If you have good brakes and push em to the floor and hit the gas, unless you have ungodly power, your tires will not spin.

My 02 Screw. lit em up like crazy 100% stock and my 05 does the same but even more so.

Thanks for all the Great advise guys!!! I will have to give it another try.... My ring gear is a 9.75 if that makes any difference.
Do ya'll even know how to power-brake properly?

Notice how I build the RPMs up first, THEN release some brake pressure? Try doing that, and for God's sake, don't be doing it on concrete.
LOL your turbo diesel probably has twice as much torque as my F150, But great video Zaairman!

My Dad had an 02' Supercrew, 5.4l, 3.55s, 4x4, K&N filter and I used to be able to cook em' pretty good, but you had to do it just right. This is going to sound silly but its almost like you gotta spike the gas first and before you stab the brakes, and you gotta take it easy on the brakes. YOu have to give it JUST enough brake that it doesn't move...Its quite a bit easier in my 07' F-150, that generation with the disks in the back seemed to have really good bite.

Even so, my 4.6 F-150 could do it no problem with half the torque and the same toolbox in the bed. That box weighs at least 300lbs loaded, and its contents haven't changed since then...

I think that my rear disc brakes are a little more touchy then the drums...but idk, I will have to try it again using some of the tips I got from this post My tool box is fully loaded too...its a heavy s.o.b...I have a...bigbubba 20 ton jack, a set of tire chains, 2 full tool boxes, about 20 tie downs, some ***** for the hitch, moving blankets, tarps, axe, hatchet, and im sure there is a bunch of crap im forgetting lol

That would be pretty sweet, but this truck is my daily driver and I dont really need that much power...I would get in a little too much trouble with the po pos lol Thats part of the reason I sold my cars and bought a truck...to try and reduce the racing(after getting a 500$ ticket two+ years ago) since I have had my Screw I have only been pulled over once, and that was for tinted license plate covers damn cops
