What did you do with the tube where it is supposed to attach to the header?
It cannot have any leakage at the mounting point, no holes etc.

I just replaced the aluminum version pictured below on my 2000. Replaced it with Ford part #F77Z-9J460-AB, which is the plastic version. I cleaned the egr ports first, but that didn't clear the code. I've got close to 200 miles with the new DPFE sensor, and no code anymore.
