02 Sensor Install

Looking for advice on how to replace the upstreams on my 02 5.4. I have my new Bosch sensors ready to go but I'm a little concerned about getting to the right side. Any and all advice is appreciated. Yes, I alreadt did the search but didn't find what I was looking for.

Thanks!

it's tight but it was pretty easy on my '01. I just used the open side of the wrench fortuantly i didn't have to heat them

Take the wheel and inner fender off for easy access. Use a good penetrating oil and a 22m wrench. I use Sea Foam brand Deep Creep:

ya i used a 7/8 open end wrench too. soak them up with some penetrating lube and they should come out. i tried to used that special socket on mine. waste of money. just use an open end wrench and becarefull not to strip them.

Thanks for the replies and advice. This will be my after turkey carving project. One last question, do you need to reset the PCM after changing the 02 sensors?

Thanks

Can't get around it really - the first thing you do before working on it is disconnect the battery
