Angry Sparkplugs

It would appear to me that the issue with seized spark plugs is going to apply to the 2006 5.4 L as well. After getting my xcal 2 in from troyer I took their advice and took the truck in yesterday to have the plugs changed. It took the dealer 7 hours and 3 broken plugs and 460 dollars before I was back on the road.

I am absolutely disgusted with Ford over this issue believe it is time for them to step up and conduct a recall to fix this issue. Instead they will probably continue to screw over their customers and leave people like me who switched over from Toyota wondering why did I buy this truck.

I don't know about that...as long as FOMOCO has been in business, I'd have thought they would be beyond this kind of mess.

But, that's just me.

I guess.

Looks like to me, if they broke the plugs, it was not your fault. I would make them pay for the repair, because, it is their fault. That is just my opinion, and, they would darn sure do it just to get me the heck out of the shop. LOL

The most I would pay them for is what I originally asked them to do. A tune up!

Dude, sorry to hear about ur issues, trust me I am. However after just dropping 1280 on my plug change where 7 broke, I wouldnt complain about 460 LOL.

I mean basically I was quoted at 250, next thing I knew my truck didnt have an engine and I had to get 7 removed. Awesome. 94 F150 with 88k.

How about no broken plugs......

As we all know, this isn't an isolated case.

You don't have a 5.4 3V. Do some searching around here to get the full scoop. They have a unique spark plug design.
