It doesn't take much of a openning for those critters to squeeze thru - we sit on a crawl space , I could plug holes all day long and they would still find a way..

Have to setting traps until there gone - it doesn't take long if you keep up on it..

Or they may get to smart for it and migrate somewhere else for awhile..

we had an explorer come in years ago complaining it had no power at all and wouldnt accelerate.. so we pulled the air box out and found a dead kitten that had worked its way up to the air duct and died

I don't know if you northerners are familiar with dirtdobbers or not .
They will plug up holes about the size of an inkpen barrell, then lay eggs and stuff some food in it and plug it up.
I worked when my week old gas hedge trimer. Bought put gas mix in it to make sure it would run and put it on a shelf. Week later bout had cardiac arrest pulling on the start rop. finaly got enough sense to look it over.
both little round intake ports pluged.

I tok a break

I had my check engine come on after 1 month of having my new truck. So I took it to the dealer, and they told my theres a animal living under your manifold. He found a nest under my manifold. I was only few miles away from dealership, so I stopped and seen the nest. It ate a couple wires and made my engine light come on. $500.00 dollars later---NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY because ford doesn't cover animal damage. They had to pull the manifold to fix the problems.

I discovered an airbox in my ranger had become a rat nest , hence the poor acceleration i was getting. The airbox was stuffed full of fur, grass, and everything else they could squeeze in there. darn mice!!. and they also filled every other crevice with bird food from a bird feeder. little ba$turds!

We've got an old 1950 ford regular cab we use for pulling hay trailer ect. anyway it sit's by our barn for most of the time. This past month my Grandpa and I were walking up to it and heard the strangest noise coming from the exhaust when he turned it on. So I got out and went to the exhaust tip, and out came a couple of mice. Guess they had hot feet? They had a nest in the exhuast.
