Hey shifty
I just put a spal 16" puller on back right side of radiator. And i put a 16" pusher on the front of the condenser coil. Hooked them up on seperate relays. One is activated by the temp switch placed in the radiator.
the other by the A/c compressor clutch. or i flip a toggle and they are both operating by temp.

When shopping for fans look for the most cfm with least current draw.
the efficiency trade off is between $-amprege-cfm
you can buy the controler and relays at most parts stores

I also soldered all the conections.

THe truck is in bodyshop now, i haven't road tested much yet

Do you have a wiring diagram on how you hooked each up and how you have the temp only override? That sounds like what I wish to do to mine.

I don't know how to make a digital diagram. I saw a good one posted within the last week or so in either this forum , the electrical or the HVAC .
i think it was projectsho or steve83 ?? not sure which one.
It looked better than the one i did, i didn't study it tho

i saw an E fan for a mustang that was rated at 4500 CFM. one 16 inch. Also cant i just make a switch to turn it on rather than off the A/C? and how does the waterpump work with no clutch fan?...do i just take the fan and clutch out of it and leave the pully on there? can you recommed any brands that i can look for? ive seen the price all over the place. as low as 60 and as high as like 1,000 most of them are about 100 bucks thoe so im looking to keep it right around there 100 to 150ish.

The fan clutch just screws off the front of the waterpump fan and all. no further modifications.
Again its a trade off on the fans
high efficienty = $$$
haven't looked carefully at the specs but i bet the troyers are among the very best.
spall inbetween
ebay look like spal maybe the are rejects that didn't pass inspection

If you run 2 16" you will need a 130 amp alternator
especially with the ebay fans

all you have to do is choose

i bought one spall and one ebay time will tell
i also have them on seperate fuses to the relays
have you read the other active post i think by gottstobeme i believe. he's hving trouble with high current drian.

ah gotcha i was kinda worryed bout the fan and water pump pully. and i think a new alternator is in the near future for my truck. its stock meaning its 10 years old. i draw 845Watts from it useing my sound system and it seems to do fine. but if i hit both the windows Up while there all the way up the lights will dim and when i turn at very low speeds the RPM's drop to abour 300 so i think a new one is in store. ive been looking at alot of dual 12" fans. whats better dual or single?

i just read in a different thread that you can get a 200 amp alt.
that could make even more noise.

Also that clutch can be a witch to get off.
you don't have to hook up to compressor clutch at all but i'll garentee you if you're sitting in traffic that hookup will make a big difference.
The truck i put the fans on has a 2 row radiator now. i don't think i'll have any overheating problems.
