Idle wanders when heater is on

Hey guys my idle is wandering from 700 to 900 rpm when I put my heater on anything but "floor", obvious noise like something is kicking in also. Any ideas?

This is a 2001 F150 with a 5.4.

Sounds like a small vacuum leak, maybe from the main vacuum line behind the battery going into the firewall. This is a common area for the line to crack or break.
