Performance mods (non bolt on)

What all performance mods could you put in the 3 valve 5.4? If I was to build better internals for the most performance.

theres a ton of threads on here about the 5.4

do a search and you'll be suprised.

what do you mean by "bolt on" exactly. some people consider new heads a bolt on. if you mean beyond simple stuff like filter, headders exhaust, suspension etc then youre looking at tranny/ engine mods like porting polishing, rocker arms, cams, cranks etc.

Yea, I am looking at beyond the simple stuff...basically my truck is going to have to go in the shop and get some lifters fixed and I figured while that is getting fixed why not do some work on it to get more power while they are already working on the motor

building the bottom end with better rods and pistons really wont gain you power... it will allow you to make more power safely though
