Question lightning swap

My engine is just about shot. I have a 99 F250 Ld and was considering a remanufactured engine from a lightning and was wondering what would be involved in this swap? it would probably be the engine, trans(i don't think the stock one would handle it), and the wiring harness right?

stock wiring harness would work, just find an engine and tranny combo, you will be happy

If your stock tranny is a 4R100, it will handle it.

the door code for the tranny is E so it's the 4r100 right? and the axle code is 26 so would the rear end handle the power?

i'm not sure about the rear end cause i think it's already on it's way out. it feels like it's loose but it's not a limited slip so it would need to be replaced anyways.

A 99 would have a 4R100, the last year of the E4OD was 98. Essentially the same tranny anyway.

The F250 LD should have a 10.25" rear.
