Angry Engine Bogging!?!?!?!?!?

When im lite on the gas through gear 1 its fine.. but when it hits 2nd gear it lags around 2000 rpm then i give it a litte more gas and its fine. i think it may be the pcm because i like to play around with my edge chip alot . ive returned it back to stock and disconnected the battery for 30min and its gone but the lag comes back after around 30min to an hour of driving.

ive cleaned out the throttle body, MAF, Intake tube, air filter, Fuel filter, Seafoamed it, tried tuning it, no codes or CEl WTF?!?!?!?!?

but i cought 1 code a while back when the lag was just appering and it was something like "thorttle actuator control system - forced limited power" but now its gone.

something tells me it has to do something with the pcm... does anyone know how much $$$$ it costs to get my pcm re-flashed from ford? ( No warranty left)

2004 fx4 f150 5.4 3v

help me plz, i dont wanna pay $1000+ at dealers for things that "Might fix the problem"

Thanks!!!!!!

My 06 5.4 was doing the same thing but for some reason it has healed up. I'll keep my eye on this thread. One thing thing I did do was put mid grade fuel in it and it seemed to help.

A reflash shouldn't cost you more than 80 bucks.

No need to have a reflash if your running the edge. It re-writes the stock program when you download the edge tunes. It still does it when you reprogram to stock right?? Almost sounds like it could be a COP starting to get weak. Does it also do it after it shifts into overdrive?? How many miles on the truck and have you ever changed the plugs??

Never changed the plugs and its got 150,000 KMS. it does do it in over drive but not as bad.

The miss could very well be a COP problem. It is also common for COP's to act up under very light throttle and just after the shift into OD. This is a point when they are stressed significantly.
Hopefully some others will chime in that know more than me

150,000 KMS converts to how many miles??? I can't remember the formula for converting

Converts close enough to 100K to where replacing the plugs would be a good idea.

Yup i forgot to ask if you reset the comp. I would change the plugs in it anyway. It most likely could use them!!!
