engine stop when turning to the left
First things I'd think to check, if you think it's running out of gas, was the fuel bowl, make sure it's full, if not then check the filters, pump, float, and the needle and seat.
Next thing would be clean the carburetor fuel jets. Not likely to cause this but stranger things have happened.
Once you know it's getting plenty of gas, then if it still does it...... then I'm stumped.......
Naw once you know that it's not the fuel system, then check the main vaccum lines for a smal crack that could open from the centrifical force of going around a corner.
After that it gets mroe difficult......
I'd hope and bet on the fuel system if it's coughing and sputtering to a hault like your running out of gas.

I had an '87 Mustang that would stall occasionally while, or just after, turning a corner slowly, so it was top of mind for me. Figured out it usually happened at night. The extra load of the lights combined with the PS was just enough to put it over the edge once in awhile. Raised the idle ~150 RPM, and it never happened again.

How funny....
Everyone has had different experinces.
My old 69 F100 had a mill flaw in the carb casting or something. I couldn;t keep the float adjusted. It would either overflow or shut off when the bowl was 1/2 full, when it did that then it would die on hills or corners. I rebuilt it 4 times before I gave up and bought a new one. Of course I was 16 in school and didnt have any money. My buddies 81 Full size F100 Explorer that we restored a couple of years ago did the same but he used it as an excuse to his wife that he needed to buy new edelbrock carb and intake..... Didn't even try to rebuild it.
So thats why it was my first thought.
