Is it the IAC?

Lately when I start my truck it's got a pretty shaky idle. I started it last night and held it at around 1100 rpm for a second and it started to stumble/miss horribly, let off the gas and the rpm's dropped below 500 then settled around 800 as normal. No cel or anything. Has had a good tune-up over the past 10k miles. I clean the IAC pretty regularly, you think it's the IAC or somethin more serious? I know I should have cleaned the IAC before posting this but I just haven't had time today. I'll do it after school tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Mine did that for awhile after installing a new IAC It smoothed out finally after I messed around with the PCV valve and 1/4" Vac lines... I dunno - sometimes when you push those lines into the rubber elbow to far - it will block it off - cut off flow completly.
That's why I fooled with em a bit - thought that may be the problem - it may have been , but I didn't test it for flow , just messed with the lines a little.

Then it ran okay @ idle..

It's possible you broke a wire on the MAF - usually you'll get a check engine light when that happens.

What did you clean it with - you may have left a coating on there.

Just regular MAF cleaner, everything was in tact when I finished. Didn't even take it out the truck. Truck runs fine after it warms up though.
