Motoblue COPS at RPMoutlet

I am thoroughly interested in buying these COPS, but I am reading nothing but horror stories about RPMoutlet.

http://www.resellerratings.com/store/RPM_Outlet

Even with a Google search there is nothing but negative results.

Whom has purchased from them and how did it turn out?

Well Rockauto.com has the DG511 COPS for 35 bucks each. SO I may just buy one to see if I can find my bad COP.

What - Global doesn't doesn't sell 3 valve COP's?

+ 1 on Rockauto . I purchase from there all the time - His eBay store has some good deals!! I just bought a IAC @ one of his "Buy it Now" deals on that eBay - the part was here in two days priority mail.

Not bad on the price either -

I guess you never can tell when a vendor will be good or bad. I have ordered twice from RPM, and both times they were fine.
I ordered from Poweredbyford last year and they were great. I placed an order with them two weeks ago, and the prices for three items I purchased were higher on my invoice than what they had on their web site. I called them, and they said the web site hadn't been updated? As a remedy, they offered me a discount on freight if and when I placed a future order.

I too have placed two satisfactory orders with RPM outlet. I was offerd a shipping credit and free exchange for ordering the wrong part. I got my hypetech programmer there and a set of granatelli COP boots. I have had no issues.
Autoparts warehousr however shipped me a set of super duty rotors for my truck instead of the correct size. That sucked. I ordered my exhaust from them and it came fine no probs. Its a crap shoot. You may want to cosider OEM COPs as these ignitions seem to be tempramental from other posts I have read.

It is begiining to show that other sources of COP are experiencing quality problems.
I found this out the long way.
Ordered from a well known vendor source, 3 out of 8 were defective and took some time to figure this out due to the trust we all put in new parts.
Never trust that new parts are good if a problem still persists in such a narrow area as ignition.
The aftermarket COP have a very high likelyhood of now being made in China.
Don't expect the quality to be that of OEM, seeings how the food, toys, dog/cat food and other things are now being fought over and they still don't want to believe their standards are way below ours as well as intentionally trying to screw America for profit.
It's up to you to realize these things by looking at the bigger picture.
The COPs in the Yellow box are plainly marked "made in P.R.C."
I now have 8 good one in place. The motor runs very well but I have 2 spare!!!!!
The only way to pick out a bad COP that does not set a code is by either subbing or a dealer stress test.
Best to make it firmly known to the vendo that if there are failures that you feel their source is very questionable, for quality.
Better not to have this junk on the market, but you should know how it is, everybody wants to make a buck, your bucks.

Look at OEM printer ink cartridges. I swear there is price fixing going on between all the makers when the printer's purchuse price new is often about the cost of 2 or 3 sets of ink cartridges and now most of these are coming from P.R.C. Imagine the profits being made.. It's racket that get's me hot everytime I go in any store that sells them, yet no body complains about it.

Well I will probably stick with Rockauto then. GlobalAuto doesn't have what I need. Troyerperformance is wanting $500 for theirs.

The truck is going to the dealership to identify a problem I am having with the engine. Missing at 40 to 60mph in OD. It is likely a COP, but I am going to let them make for sure and exactly what one needs to be replaced to save myself headaches and extra money.

my experience with them was good.

I bought all 8 motoblues from them installed them and so far the truck seems to run better has a bit more power and all is good. I've only put about 50 miles on it so.. They shipped them right away and I had 0 problems.

Yea , that's a bad coil -99% sure. When there weak - the most common miss is @ 45MPH , right after the shift into OD . Been there done that many times and it's a biatch to test with NO check engine light. We had to run a probe wire thru the firewall . Attach (spring clamp) the probe to the side of the coil housing and take it for a ride monitoring the probe light from inside the cab. That's the only way without a check engine light . It sucks , you have to that 8 times if necessary. The blinking probe light will identify a weak COP plain as day. You have to load test during a normal drive cycle.

That is exactly what is happening to me! When I am getting on the freeway I am accelerating moderately so the tac is around 2200 rpm and climbing steadily (3.08 rear end in 4.6L ughhhh) the power feels good and linear, and then you literarlly feel the accerleration decline WHILE MAINTAINING THE SAME THROTTLE ANGLE! The power comes back on as you pass 55 and move into 60 at which point the tac is closer to 2900 and mvoing into the powerband. It just started acting that way about 2000 miles ago. I have only changed 2 of the 8 COPs and I am super close to 160k. I should go ahead and order those bad boyz!

Yea @ 160k with missfiring symtoms , I wouldn't hesitate to purchase new COP's - only because they can be had for under $100. That right there saves WS , Mode 6 testing costs at the dealership or the the time it takes for the Do -it -yourselfer to figure out which ones bad. You'll get another bad one in the near future anyway if you don't change them out when there weak.

Personally I don't run Global COP's - I get mine cheaper than that from the Romeo plant lol. Friends have run them and I'll vouch for Global - Damn good reliable store. I want a set of Moto - Blues along with NGK Iridiums. With the addition of long tube headers there isn't much backpressure per cylinder so it will be able to handle it, less scavenging..
