New Injectors and Coils

ive been checkin ebay and i found somethings for some decent prices, injectors

those are take offs not new but low mileage, they look to be the right type for my truck im not really sure though and are they infact type 3s?

coils packs

these are a decent priced set, i think built54 may have them also? im just lookin for a boost in performance. i know ive asked this same question a few times before but im just trying to understand what im lookin at. its all kinda confusing since there are so many different options out there.
Thanks,
Scott

looks like a good deal. be sure to put some electrical grease on them before u install them keeps the contact coil from rusting up.

Not likely. If you don't have any codes, you're just wasting money and taking risks(breaking bolts/pulling out wires etc...) by replacing junk. Mine have 220,000 on them, and they are doing fine. The truck has more power than ever.

There not a waste of money IMO - Because I've personally swapped a 98, 99, 2001 . The 98 , was hard to tell what was bad on that one, but that was the most drastic change in performance when the COP's and injectors were changed. We changed the COP's and plugs on the 99 and that was a noticeable improvement - I think he had 90,000 miles on that truck were the 98 had 185,000 at the time. However we swapped coils on the 2001 - no change - that 5four is a dog for some reason - it's a super crew,it's heavy. we still have to tear that down when it's freed up and find the problem.

Another strange thing is the 98 non-PI 2 valve 4X4 beats the 2WD 99 truck LOL . Mechanically the 98 has a polished Throttle body and elbow and Magnaflow exhaust, type 3 injectors. The 99 has a K&N intake and stock exhaust. Theoredically I think the 99 should take the 98. It's a mystery for now.

Healthy ignition system is a must to get the full potential out the motor and of course your injectors need to be up to par.

BTW - Theres no way I could have did this without new parts being offered from crate motors that are parted out on ebay. The Crown Vics have allot of parts that are the same. That's where I get the parts for myself and freinds around here.

yeh i think EPA came down on the PI motors made them inflate numbers because we had a 97 F150 with a 5.4L XLT 4x4 we had just got the one i drive now with the 4.6 we demo'd the 5.4 for a few weeks and didnt keep it. it was a dog compared to the 4.6 and the milage sucked. but compared to the new 5.4's they seem to have more grunt.

Yea , I took the Magnaflow off last weekend to clean it up and staighten out the flange damage from the junky muffler clamps.

I have the flowmaster 50 back on her now Mann , it sure doesn't even compare to the quality of sound from the Magnaflow.

Yea, were rippen her part right after the runs, the left side manifold bolts are in there - Right side came loose wit a 1/4 " drive - stainless bolts - I think I'll leave it running while taken the left loose. If they break I'm f'ed.
