Help with 2004

Truck is a 2004 with magnaflow cat back and an SCT by Innovative Diesel.

Driving this morning and the truck starts shutting off and coming back on as if it were about to run out of fuel. It does this for about 10 or 15 seconds then dies. CEL comes on and Low Oil Pressure displays in the message center.

I pulled over and checked for codes but nothing. Just fueled up 5 minutes before. Checked oil level and it is fine. I'm running a Motorcraft filter.

Truck started right back up and everything was fine. Drove another 10 miles home with no issues.

Anybody have any ideas on what could cause this. It's done something similar on 2 other occasions but only for a second or two.

Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Have you gotten the codes read yet? Autozone does it for free.

I checked the codes myself. Nothing. Fuel filter was replaced 2 months ago.

I think there's a chance your code reader can't read out all the codes on a 04.......

I think the OP's pullin' codes okay with his SCT flash tuner .... but if they're transient, you're right - a more complex scanner would be needed.
