Are these in any way better than the stock fan? In lighter weight terms or better air moving perspectives??

I have one of those on my mach I
I know its better thatn the oridginal 71 fan I had. You would have to delete the clutch on a newer truck. I've ran flex fans on a few cars. there is less drag at highr rpm they flatten out. works good on my car..
I had one of those in the same pretty color on my 74 F-100 with a nowherenearstock FE 390. As the tach passed 5000 rpms, one of the blades passed thru the hood. You couldn't give me one of them again. They were notorious for coming apart and throwing blades. The stainless steel blades will fatigue and break off.

I had one of those in my 82 mustang GT. It had alot done to the engine and it always kept it cool and like someone else said, it flattens out at high rpm so it doesnt cause as much resistance

Man they aren't so bad price wise either!!!! Holy cow! Now you're sure that will fit a 97 oem fan hub right? I know it says universal but I looked under the compatability section and it didn't list 97 and new trucks, just older ones.
Cheers!
