Here's the best drawing I could find of the hose in question.

It's only the solenoid side of it. Trying to find the tank side ..

You guys were right ..( :

Well as it turns out , that canister in the diagram and The hose that I have been refering to, were dicontinued long ago. They don't sell them .

The hose and filter cap was from my old unit . The tech disconnected but didn't remove the old part. The 5.4L's that had issues with the single rear canisters were updated to duel canisters like I was 8/2004 .

Here's a piece of the TSB -

LIGHT TRUCK:
1996 F-150, F-250
1996-98 EXPLORER
1997-98 ECONOLINE, EXPEDITION, F-150, F-250 LD, MOUNTAINEER, WINDSTAR
1998 NAVIGATOR

This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct some part application service numbers.

ISSUE

For all On-Board Diagnostic II (OBD II) passenger car and light truck applications, a direct replacement part for the evaporative emission canister and bracket assembly is no longer available.
