problem after cleaning throttle body

i took off my throttle body tonight to clean it, the egr ports, and the iac. one of the egr ports was completely clogged; i fix it and then put everything back together. i turned the truck on, let it run for about 5 minutes and then took it for a drive. it seemed fine, but then when i got to a little higher rpm, it sounded like there was an exhaust leak coming from right under me. is there something i could have forgotten to do or left unhooked (im pretty sure there isnt though)?

I changed my intake from a k&n to a volant and about a week later mine has started to do the same thing, sounds like a hiss or very rapid rattle, almost like something is loose somewhere. Can't figure the damn thing out!

ohh loud hiss at WOT is normal. ur hearing air rush pass the IAC all the vacume line inlets and there are no more baffles in the intake. also u could be hearing the wind rush across the sharp edges on the throttle plate

Sonnds like the booster tube is disconnected. Or the PCV line that plugs in directly behind the IAC . It's not visible.

That 90 degree elbow back by the firewall in this pic -

Wouldn't that trip the CEL? The OP didn't mention that so I assume the CEL wasn't triggered.

It might trip a lean code , but not right away. When the PCM tests and determines fault. It doesn't happen right away in most cases - lean conditions have to fail on two consecutive instances before a MIL is set.

It could take a a couple days or 1-3 drive cycles to satisfy the PCM there is a fault.

In this case , it would be the lean side in the PO170's ..
