5.0 #4 plug broke..

I pulled out a 5.0 from a cougaur to put into a sc T-bird.

As I was removing the plugs, I broke the ceramic part of the plug, but the rest of the plug is stuck inside the head.

It looks like the plug was broke before and crazy glued togethier, this is a autolite plug , the othier 7 champions.

Whats the best way to get this out?
I don't have the budget for head work, and i'm not up to tap/dieing the head.

Maybe I'm reading, or interpreting, this wrong but if all you broke off was the ceramic part ten you should still be able to get a socket on it and unscrew it, right?

Vacuum or use shop air to blow out all the ceramic, then put a socket on it.

I just had the same issue on a set of GT40P heads on an 02 EXPLORER.
Take an Acetlyne torch with a heating tip and heat the plug body to a dull red long enough for the heat to go into the head threads area. This breaks the bond.
Put deep socket on it with a tee bar and apply pressure.
If it moves, work it both ways and use PB Blaster to get into the threads, as well.
Work it until it can be backed out without danger of other breakage or rounding of the plug body.
Apparently this plug could not be removed in the car, insulator was broken and was left, same condition as I had found on a motor I just bought except the plug wass in full solid condition.

Thier's not enough metal for the socket to fit on to, looks and feels like the metal end of the plug has been rounded off, I might try drill a hole in the plug, screw in a metal screw and see if I can get the plug out this way.

I still have a long way to go on this project, I have to find a flywheal to fit a mustang 5 sp and the mustang 5 speed, set up the drive shaft, ect.

Thanks for the help.

If the corners are just a bit rounded get a slightly undersized 12pt socket and tap it on. That works wonders sometimes. Make sure you first vacuum or blow out any debris.
