I did find some threads on the redline but it ranges from 5200 to 6000. Does anyone know for sure ? I was looking for max engine RPM not tranny.

I believe its 6300 rpm the rev limiter will shut it down when it passes max rpm.

It shifts at 5,200 RPM's but with a tuner you can bump the electronically set redline a little higher. I was thinking of getting in there with some little red pinstripe decal tape I have and marking it. It wouldn't look tacky, if done right it should look awesome.

The rev limiter will kick in at about 6,000 rpm. I know this because a friend of mine has an '04 Supercrew and one day we were sitting at a stoplight and was like, "Hey, I found out in can hit limiter on my truck. It sounds pretty cool." Then he put the truck in neutral, floored it and sure enough, it sounded pretty much just like a 4-stroke dirtbike hitting limiter.
