I have a 05 5.4L f150 4x4 47k miles that has given some off and on problems that no one has been able to pinpoint until now. The problem is at times under acceleration it fails to go and will be very jerky. Like it is straving for gas. This happened several months ago but with several tanks of gumout it went away until today. When I initially had it checked at the dealer and a repair shop they couldn't find a problem. But today the check engine light came on and I pulled into a Advance Auto Parts and they pulled code p0191 which is fuel rail pressure sensor. I did a search on this code but could not determine what was done to correct. If anyone has any suggestions I will be thankful.

 

If the wiring is ok, connection and voltage its the fuel rail pressure sensor. Do a search on 'returnless fuel system'.
